COLUMBIA, SC – (June 6, 2017) Celebrate philanthropy in the Midlands of South Carolina by nominating an individual or organization to be honored at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Thursday, October 26 at 11:30 a.m. at The Columbia Marriott.
“We have an amazing tradition of philanthropy in the Midlands, a region with a vibrant non-profit sector which strengthens the social, cultural, economic and environmental elements of our community. National Philanthropy Day recognizes contributions of time, talents and treasure from individuals and businesses supporting this important work,” said Wendi Spratt, National Philanthropy Day Chair and President-Elect of the AFP Central Carolina Chapter.
Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Carolina Chapter joins with national and international colleagues to celebrate National Philanthropy Day, a celebration of exceptional individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to philanthropy.
You can recognize outstanding philanthropic work in the following categories: Outstanding Corporation, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, Outstanding Fundraising Executive, Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Volunteer Group Fundraiser, and Outstanding Marketing Professional in Support of Philanthropy. The Charlotte Lunsford Berry Spirit of Philanthropy Scholarship will also be awarded. Start the process now by submitting an initial nomination!
