BOUDREAUX Designer Becomes The Third African American Woman To Be Licensed in Architecture In South Carolina

Tiara Williams, AIA

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Nov. 9, 2018) – BOUDREAUX—an architecture, interiors and planning design firm—is proud to announce Tiara Williams, AIA has achieved licensure and is now a registered architect. According to the Directory of African American Architects, Tiara is the third actively practicing African American woman to become licensed in architecture in South Carolina.

Architectural licensure is reached once an emerging professional has earned the required experience that provides exposure to all aspects of the profession and has passed all sections of the Architect Registration Exam. The process usually takes about three years. We celebrate Tiara’s dedication and career milestone.

With over 12 years of experience, Tiara provides a high level of technical skill to every project. Her expertise in the development of construction documents utilizing Revit Building Information Modeling makes her particularly efficient; she provides training and mentorship to others. Tiara is detail-oriented and thrives on the construction site where clients and contractors benefit from her responsiveness, thoughtfulness and even-keeled demeanor. Her project experience includes higher education, faith-based and local government, including new construction, renovation and preservation. Tiara joined BOUDREAUX in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA.
