Capital City Club selects Columbia nonprofit for 10th annual Charity Classic

Columbia, SC: The Capital City Club, the premier private club in South Carolina, is pleased to announce this year’s Charity Classic local beneficiary is The RAM Foundation. Charity Classic is a corporation-wide fundraising event benefiting Augie’s Quest (ALS), Employee Partner Care Fund, and a local charity in each market.

Charity Classic “Under the Big Top” will be Friday, October 14th 7:00pm- 11:00pm, featuring a silent auction, live entertainment, an open bar, circus bites, good will and a grand ole’ time. Since 2007, ClubCorp has raised more than $17 million in its annual Charity Classic. Join us for our tenth year of giving.

The RAM Foundation, the Reading, Arts, Mathematics Summer Enrichment Program, offers youths aged 4 to 17 years a free six-week program of studying reading, mathematics and science in the Midlands of Richland County, South Carolina and currently operates out of St. Mark Baptist Church & Greater Faith United Missionary Baptist Church.

Ultimately, the RAM Foundation desires to host its own physical campus to include: office spaces, classrooms, and an auditorium. As the final stages develop, the Foundation hopes to become financially sufficient so that participants can continue to be enriched throughout the year at a minimum cost and/or with opportunities for scholarships.
