Deadline to renew business licenses is March 15
Richland County business licenses must be renewed by March 15 to avoid penalties. Businesses renewing online at the Business Service Center will receive a $10 discount off the renewal fee.

Small-business owners invited to airport networking event
The Columbia Metropolitan Airport will play host to the 2018 Small Business Fly-In on Oct. 25. The free event is held in partnership with the S.C. Airports Coalition, formed in 2016 to promote opportunities for small businesses.

A new survey found that women-owned businesses in the state increased by 67.9% since 2007, growing from 99,458 to 167,000. The survey, commissioned by American Express, used U.S. Census Bureau data.
