Upgrades aim to increase library internet speed
Some libraries have broadband internet speeds as low as 20 to 40 megabits per second. Upgrades made possible by a new service provider contract are improving those speeds at libraries statewide.
S.C. Department of Education awards $4M in grants
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grants are funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The grants were awarded to 15 school districts and nonprofits serving 24 schools throughout the state.
