New $85 million solar project coming to Orangeburg County
Brewer Renewables, a subsidiary of Seahorse Capital founded in 2019, is launching the 100-megawatt facility, which has additional energy storage capacity. The solar farm is expected to be operational in 2023.
New solar project planned for Florence County

Dominion asks for 7.75% rate increase
The rate increase, which must be approved by the S.C. Public Service Commission, would increase the average residential electric bill by $9.68 a month, according to the company. The new rates would go into effect in March 2021.

Construction on the 101-megawatt solar farm began in the second quarter of 2019. The 849,940-panel project will generate enough to energy to power more than 14,000 homes, according to developer Pine Gate Renewables.
