Mark Hammond's office said it has received complaints about a letter sent to businesses purporting to provide a 'SC Certificate of Status' for $87.25. Such a certificate is not issued or required by the state, Hammond said.
Coastal wetlands projects receive $5 million in grants
Projects in five S.C. counties each received $1 million from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to increase protection for coastal habitats, some of which are home to threatened species and others which help provide clean drinking water.

Former SCANA CEO pleads guilty to federal fraud charges
Kevin Marsh pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud related to the failed V.C. Summer nuclear reactor project. Marsh faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Public hearing to discuss proposed rezonings

Richland County completes 2015 flood buyouts
