Work to begin at Village at Sandhill intersection
New left-turn signals are being installed at the Northeast Columbia intersection, and traffic signal timing is being updated. The project, expected to take several weeks, will begin on or around Nov. 2.
Carolina Crossroads receives key federal permit
The U.S Army Corps of Engineers has granted the project a permit which will enable all five phases of project construction to move forward. The $1.6 million initiative is reconfiguring the intersection of interstates 20, 26 and 126.

Downtown parking demand remains high, even in pandemic
A recent report found parking in downtown Columbia is in demand even as more employees work from home. The city's overall parking garage occupancy rate dropped slightly to 81.62% in the second quarter of 2020 from 83.86% in Q2 of 2019.

CAE to receive $2.7 million in federal funds for improvements

CAE offering free masks to travelers

USC, COMET team up for new shuttle service

COMET to require riders to wear masks
The regional transit agency will require riders to wear masks or face coverings beginning Monday. Masks will be provided to riders without one until July 31 or until supplies are depleted.
