Columbia, SC – Hussey Gay Bell announces the hire of Mr. Vince Williams, PE, SE, as Department Head of Structural Programs, Ms. Rebecca Connelly, CIT, as Utility Coordinator, Mr. Lesley Joseph, EIT, as Project Engineer and Ms. Meghan Perhacs as Civil Engineering Designer.
Mr. Williams has more than 28 years of experience in the design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures. As Department Head of Structural Programs for the firm, his primary responsibilities include overall management of the firm’s structural engineering teams, structural engineering design for various project types, overall project management, business development and client relationship management. He is a graduate of The Citadel and holds a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering with Emphasis in Structural Design degree. Mr. Williams is a licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer holding registration in the States of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida.
Ms. Connelly has 21 years of experience. As Utility Coordinator, her responsibilities include overall utility systems coordination for the firm’s transportation-related projects for DOTs, counties and their municipalities. Ms. Connelly’s expertise extends to include project management, team coordination, civil design, cost estimating, plan production, project scheduling and BIM coordination. Ms. Connelly is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science, Biology degree. She holds various OSHA, CEPCSI, CIT and NIH certifications and is a Past President of NAWIC.
Mr. Lesley Joseph, EIT, has joined the firm’s Columbia Water/Wastewater division as Project Engineer. Mr. Joseph has 4 years of experience primarily including risk assessments, municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment, distribution and collections systems, solid waste management and hydraulic modeling. Mr. Joseph is a registered EIT in the State of Texas. He holds two degrees from the University of South Carolina including a Master’s degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from John Hopkins University.
Ms. Meghan Perhacs has joined the Columbia team of Hussey Gay Bell as Civil Engineering Designer. Her responsibilities will include development of preliminary design reports, engineering calculations, technical reports, permitting, construction drawings and project specifications for the firm’s public and private design projects in the firm’s water and sewer market sectors. Ms. Perhacs is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
