Columbia, South Carolina — McCrory Construction Company has been recognized for its commitment to safety with a Gleaming Star Award from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s (LLR) Division of Labor. McCrory representatives accepted the award at a public reception hosted by South Carolina LLR's Division of Labor in Columbia on Tuesday, April 25. The event was held in the Denny Auditorium on the South Carolina Fire Academy's campus.

The state's safety awards program is open to all South Carolina employers, regardless of industry.  To win South Carolina LLR's Gleaming Star Award, one of three award categories, a company must meet the following criteria: have fewer than 100 employees and demonstrate a culture of safety and health both on-site and in the community.

"This award goes beyond recognizing McCrory's excellent safety record over the past two years... it speaks to the collective safety mindset and proactive efforts of our employees — particularly our site superintendents — in accident prevention. Their intense focus on safety has a direct positive impact on the communities where we work," said Randy Morrison, vice president of safety and human resources. "McCrory's leadership is 100% committed to fostering and maintaining a company culture that reflects safety as an absolute priority in all that we do — not only on our job sites, but also in our offices."
