Back-To-School Bash Will Offer Free School Supplies, Health Screenings, Massages and Entertainment!
WHAT: In an effort to help thousands of Columbia students prepare for the upcoming school year, Molina Healthcare of South Carolina is teaming up with the Wateree Community Action Organization to host a Back-to-School Bash. At this event, the two organizations will distribute 1,000 school supply kits for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and an additional 1,000 school supply kits for students in the 6th through 12thgrades.
Additionally, local businesses are partnering with Molina to offer the following:
- Free eye screenings by Wal-Mart and the Lions Club
- Free hearing screenings by Beginnings SC
- Vouchers for free mammograms from the American Cancer Association
Attendees can also enjoy music, entertainment, food trucks and fun activities such as face painting.
The event is free and open to the public and media is invited to attend. All giveaways will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last).
