Palmetto Health’s Ambulatory Care Transition Team recently was awarded the Above and Beyond Award by the South Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a United States Department of Defense office. The award recognizes employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits and other similar benefits when mobilized.
Palmetto Health joins thousands of American employers who have reviewed and amended their current human resources policies to ensure compliance with the USERRA.
