COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 21, 2018) - The Five Points Association and the Babcock Center Foundation will be hosting the 10th Annual Long’s Bar Stool Classic throughout Five Points bars and restaurants, starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The Long’s Bar Stool Classic is an 8 hole putt-putt bar crawl with proceeds benefiting the Babcock Center Foundation.
The Long’s Bar Stool Classic is a self-guided tour and golfers are encouraged to take advantage of food and drinks specials while playing at each bar or restaurant. Golfers may also be eligible for the “Second Chance Hole” at Jake’s by dressing up in their best (obvious) golfer’s attire. The winner receives a cash prize of $500 and other prizes will be awarded for second and third place, along with best dressed and hole-in-one golfers. The official after-party will be at Jake’s (2112 Devine Street).
Golfers may pre-register for $15 on the Five Points Association website up until October 17, 2018. Day of registration will be $20 and is not guaranteed, as the tour may sell out.
The tour begins at 4pm at the Five Points fountain. Participants will receive an official tour t-shirt and tour card with map. Between 9pm and 10pm, the $500 first place winner and all other prizes will be awarded at Jake’s. Must be present to win.
