A pop-up, backyard farmers’ market

Serve & Connect is proud to join community partners for a FREE Farmday Funday on Sunday, July 8th to bring the farm to you!

Farmday Funday is free and open to the public, with games and fun activities for all ages including live cooking demonstrations, support for urban gardening, agriculture and healthy eating.

Key partners for this event: Harvest Hope Food Bank, Columbia Police Department, End Child Hunger SC, Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department, City Grit with Sarah Simmons and DJ Rick Smooth with Kiss 103.1 FM.

The goal is to provide support and access to healthy food for children and families during the summer months and resources for sustaining a healthy lifestyle. SNAP benefit support and food boxes will be available.

About Serve & Connect
Serve & Connect is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that aims to build community resilience and well-being through transformative police and community partnerships. Originally named Heroes In Blue, Kassy Alia founded the organization in memory of her late husband, Officer Gregory Alia, who was killed in the line of duty in 2015. The organization seeks to create new partnerships between police and community that empower, build trust, and create lasting impact.
