AllSouth Federal Credit Union Employees Serve at Habitat for Humanity ReStores

AllSouth is committed to giving back to the communities it proudly serves. Through our volunteer program, employees are provided with opportunities to serve and support local non-profit organizations that align with our efforts of supporting the military, homelessness and hunger issues, and aiding with family crisis.

Our employees recently spent a day providing 50 hours of service at the Habitat for Humanity ReStores located in Richland, Sumter and Kershaw Counties. A team of 25 employees sorted and priced items, stocked shelves, organized furniture, provided customer service, and unloaded donations as they arrived at the store. The team also assisted with preparing 13 rolls of carpet to sell, which could yield a value of over $1,200 for Habitat for Humanity.

Our team members had a great time giving back, and they found the experience rewarding and heartfelt. “I really enjoyed working at the ReStore. I love being able to get out and help the community, it’s really rewarding.” said Brandy Ballance. In addition to giving back to the communities, these volunteer events offer team building experiences and create a sense of comradery among our colleagues. Bryan Parker said, “I love jumping in and getting to work. It was fun to work with the team and really see how we all fell into place.”
