COLUMBIA, S.C. (November 13, 2018) – Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A., (BPS) is pleased to announce that Allyson Bartley, CPA, has joined the firm as a senior manager, adding even more depth to BPS’ strong team of advisors for closely held and family businesses and high net worth individuals. BPS is among the premier public accounting and consulting firms in the Southeast and the largest in Columbia based on the number of certified public accountants on staff.
Bartley brings more than 13 years of experience providing consulting services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals, including pass-through entities and family-owned businesses. As a senior manager at BPS, she will advise clients on a wide range of tax matters, research and implement tax planning strategies, and assist clients with the filing of tax returns. She will also be involved in the tax implications of acquisitions and divestitures, company reorganizations and succession planning. Prior to joining BPS, Bartley was a senior tax manager with a large regional accounting firm.
Bartley’s hiring adds to an experienced and growing tax practice. According to a recent report by Babson College, small businesses comprise 99 percent of all employer companies and employ half of the U.S. workforce. Additionally, closely held business account for 60 percent of the private sector’s new jobs.

A native of Ward, S.C., Bartley earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the boards of directors and finance committees of the Autism Academy of South Carolina and Saluda County First Steps. Additionally, Bartley also volunteers with the Richland Springs Baptist Church and W. Wyman King Academy Parents Association in Batesburg.
