West Columbia, SC — Purpose Equity, a mergers & acquisitions (“M&A”) advisory firm that helps business owners transition their companies either through sale or other exit strategy, has added Andrew Anderson as Vice President. Anderson joined the firm earlier this year.
“Andrew is a perfect fit for our firm and for South Carolina’s business owners,” said Dan D’Alberto, managing director of the West Columbia-based firm. “His background as an investment banker in Charlotte enhances Purpose Equity’s ability to deliver sophisticated M&A advice to family and founder-owned businesses throughout the Southeast.”
Prior to joining Purpose Equity, Anderson was a member of Piper Sandler’s Services & Industrials Investment Banking Group in Charlotte, N.C., where he was involved in a range of M&A and capital raising advisory services for middle market, private equity-backed companies. Previously, he was a part of the Capital Markets Department at AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in Columbia, where he was involved in providing debt financing to U.S. agriculture, agribusiness, and rural infrastructure.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to my home state and work with Purpose Equity to serve the many outstanding family and founder-owned companies based throughout the state and region,” said Anderson. “I’m completely aligned with the firm’s mission to deliver first-rate M&A execution and strategic advisory services unmatched in this segment of the market, and I look forward to working with clients to achieve their most important objectives.”
Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Wofford College and a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler.
A native of Spartanburg, Anderson lives in Columbia, with his wife and three children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and getting outdoors as much as possible.
