Columbia, SC (July 2021): Community Association Management Services (CAMS), an industry leader in community and condominium association management throughout the Carolinas, is excited to announce that Community Manager John Black has been elected as president of the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods (CCN).
Black is currently a community manager at Lake Carolina, a large master-planned community located in Columbia, SC, and has been working as a community manager since 2015. He has been active with the CCN since 2017 and became president-elect in 2019. Black’s term as president will run through 6/30/2023.
The Columbia Council of Neighborhoods is a volunteer organization that coordinates the activities of approximately 120 city neighborhood organizations. The CCN provides a forum for discussion of neighborhood issues, fosters education for neighborhood leaders, and provides a link between neighborhood groups and city officials.
As president of the CCN, one of Black’s main goals is to strengthen partnerships throughout community neighborhoods and gain a stronger voice within the city council. “It is my honor and privilege to represent the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods as president,” said Black of his new role. “By working together, we will build a stronger CCN that will be recognized as the voice of the citizens of the city of Columbia.”
CAMS is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods.
