Fran Brown
CapinCrouse LLP, a national CPA and consulting firm devoted to serving nonprofit organizations, is pleased to announce that Fran Brown has been appointed Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2019. Gregory B. Capin, Partner, Chairman, and Interim CEO, will retire as a partner of the firm on December 31, 2018. This strategic leadership transition positions the firm for future growth through a continued focus on its mission of serving organizations whose outcomes are measured in lives changed.
Brown, Partner and Professional Practice Leader – Attest, joined the firm in 2014. He has more than 30 years of in-depth experience providing audit and management consulting services to a variety of nonprofit entities, including colleges and universities. Brown previously led the New England Higher Education and Not-for-Profit Practice at Grant Thornton and was partner-in-charge of the not-for-profit practice at CCR LLP. As a recognized industry thought leader, Brown is a frequent speaker at seminars, workshops, and conferences, and serves as a board member of several nonprofit organizations.
Capin has been with CapinCrouse since 1979 when he joined the firm his father, Richard Capin, founded to serve mission-focused ministries. He has dedicated his talents to helping CapinCrouse and its clients operate with integrity, and has been integral in defining and carrying out the firm’s vision and mission. He will continue to serve as an advisor to the firm.
