Blood donations will help local hospital patients amid pandemic
Columbia, SC—Carolina International Trucks & Idealease, the largest commercial truck dealership in South Carolina, will be hosting a blood drive on July 23, 2020 with The Blood Connection (TBC) from 12:30 – 5:30 PM at 1619 Bluff Road, Columbia. TBC, a non-profit independently managed blood center based in Greenville S.C., is the blood supplier for local hospitals, including Prisma Health. Through volunteer blood donors, TBC supplies life-saving blood products to local patients who rely on them every day. Carolina International Trucks & Idealease is doing their part in helping maintain a steady community blood supply through the pandemic.
Because of TBC’s service to this community, donations made during the Carolina International Trucks & Idealease blood drive will help local hospital patients. One donation has the power to save up to three lives. The blood mobile will be parked at the company headquarters of Carolina International Trucks & Idealease, 1619 Bluff Road, Columbia, SC. TBC says it is best to drink plenty of water and eat a healthy meal before donating blood. Donors must be 17 years or older, must weigh more than 110 pounds, and cannot be taking an antibiotic for an infection. Donating with TBC encourages neighbors to share life, strengthening a sense of community. Be part of the connection with Carolina International Trucks & Idealease.
Each donor during this drive will receive a $20 Visa gift card and will be tested for Covid-19 antibodies. This is not a Covid-19 diagnostic test. Positive results do not confirm infection or immunity. Schedule your donation at https://donate.
“As an essential business, Carolina International Trucks & Idealease has been supporting the trucking industry during the pandemic by helping to keep trucks on the road.
