Carolina Wildlife Center Celebrates Selection as a BI-LO Community Bag Program Benificiary

Columbia, South Carolina (June 2, 2020) – Carolina Wildlife Center has been selected as a beneficiary of the Community Bag Program for the month of June.

The BI-LO Community Bag Program, which launched in February 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

Carolina Wildlife Center was selected as the June beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the BI-LO located at 6021 St. Andrews Road, Columbia SC, 29212. Carolina Wildlife Center will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during June, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We are so excited to be chosen as the beneficiary of the BI-LO Community Bag program,” said Janie Lauve, Interim Executive Director of Carolina Wildlife Center. “This donation from BI-LO’s Community Bag Program will help support our vital mission to establish harmony between humans and wildlife in South Carolina while instilling an appreciation for nature.”

Carolina Wildlife Center, founded in 1989, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and raises injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife to reintroduce back into their natural habitat.
