Cassy Alia Issues Statement and GoFundMe Account for Four Officers Shot in York County

Columbia, SC –Heroes In Blue Founder and CEO, Kassy Alia, is issuing the following statement:

“I, along with all of South Carolina and the broader law enforcement community, woke up to horrifying news this morning out of York, SC. I am heartbroken for the families and colleagues of the 4 officers who were shot early this morning and pray for their recovery. Hearing this tragic news never gets easier, only harder, as I get to know the officers and families left in the wake of such pain. I am sending encouragement and hope for healing to everyone touched by this tragedy, especially the York County Sheriff's Office and the City of York Police Department. May you find strength and peace in the coming hours and days ahead.”

Heroes In Blue has started a GoFundMe account to support the officer that is in critical condition after the shooting.

Kassy is the widow of Officer Greg Alia, a Police Officer with the Forest Acres Police Department that was killed in the line of duty on September 30, 2015.
