S.C. school districts receive federal aid for displaced students
S.C. school districts will split $304,000 to help educate students displaced by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria and the 2017 California wildfires. The districts include Colleton, Beaufort, Anderson 5, York 3 and Clarendon 1.

State high school dropout rate inches up in 2016-17
The rate climbed to 2.4% in the 2016-17 school year, up from 2.3% the previous year. An annual report found that male students are more likely to drop out than female students, and that 52% of dropouts occurred by 10th grade.
Bill Clinton to speak at opening of Riley collection

USC approves 2.9% tuition increase
The tuition bump, which the school said is the lowest percentage increase since 1998, will bring tuition for in-state students at the university's Columbia campus to $6,308. Out-of-state students will pay $16,649.
