Loan program application deadline extended to Dec. 31

Applications for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program for the COVID-19 pandemic will be accepted pending availability of funds for the loans, which include an interest rate of 3.75% for small businesses and 2.75% for nonprofits.

Richland County business license renewal deadline is March 15

With county offices closed because of COVID-19, all businesses, including home-based ones, must renew their licenses online or by mail by March 15. The county recently mailed renewal applications to about 10,000 businesses.

Kevin Marsh will plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in federal court on Tuesday. Marsh retired from SCANA in 2017, the same year the V.C. Summer nuclear project was abandoned.

Motor Fuel Income Tax Credit cap increasing to $85 million

Tax year 2020 is the third in which the credit can be claimed. For the 2020 filing year, 79,000 returns claimed the credit, for a total of $3.4 million, according to the S.C. Department of Revenue.
