Columbia, S.C. – The Columbia Housing Authority (CHA) in partnership with its nonprofit Columbia Housing Authority Developments (CHAD) will host its 4th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on May 4 at Cobblestone Park Golf Club with the shotgun start at 11 a.m.
The Tournament was created to raise scholarship funds for high school graduates who live in Public Housing or Section 8 and have been accepted to a fully-accredited institution of higher education.
“The scholarships that we are able to provide to these students, mean so much to them,” said Executive Director, Gilbert Walker. “For some students, the Scholarships funds are a huge help with the cost of books and housing. We are so grateful to those who support the Tournament; it could not be done without them.”
To play in the Tournament, it is $100 per player or $400 per team. There are also several levels of sponsorship that will fit any budget. The deadline to register for the Tournament is Monday, April 30 and the registration is online at www.chasc.org.
