COLUMBIA, SC - Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM) is honored to announce the appointments of Chappelle Broome and United States Army Lieutenant Colonel Bill Matheny to the Board of Directors.
"We are excited to have Chappelle and Bill join our Board of Directors," said Mary Dell Hayes, STSM Executive Director. "They both have extensive career experience and knowledge that will be valuable in shepherding and stewarding STSM's growth over the next three years. We look forward to benefiting from their insight and wisdom."
Chappelle Broome is the Director of Human Resources and Diversity at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE). Ms. Broome has worked with CAE for more than 15 years and is a graduate of Winnsboro High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts of Journalism in Advertising and Public Relations with a Minor in Business Management from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Broome also holds a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University. She is a past-president of the Cayce-West Columbia Rotary, and is involved in a number of other community improvement efforts and professional societies.
Lieutenant Colonel Matheny is the Director of Strategic Planning for the South Carolina National Guard. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Design and a Minor in Military Leadership from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Matheny has served our country in the U.S. Army since 2000 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2016. He has served with various units stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Germany. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Army Engineer Association, National Guard Association of South Carolina, and Project Management Institute.
