Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Dance Event Raises $50,000 for Epworth Children’s Home

Elite Ballroom Academy performers and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates paired for a charitable dance competition

COLUMBIA, S.C. (February 7, 2019) – In the third annual event, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage hosted a dance competition with professional performers and sales associates affiliated with the brokerage. Proceeds, this year totaling $50,000, were presented to Epworth Children’s Home. Elite Ballroom Academy provided the dance partners for the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates, forming 10 pairs.

Led by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES Chairman Craig Winesett, the event took place at the Harbison Theater with over 300 in attendance. Hosted by Dawndy Mercer Plank, the pairs competed for Dancing Champion and Fundraising Champion with runners-up in both categories. Dancing Champion was awarded to Janet Moak, a real estate agent with the company’s Northeast office and her partner Stefano Placidi Zaccarelli a performer with Elite Ballroom Academy. Fundraising Champion was presented to Karen Paloni, a real estate agent with the company’s Irmo office who raised over $11,000.

Following the event, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Elite Ballroom Academy presented Epworth Children’s Home with a check for $50,000. Epworth Children’s Home was selected for the organization’s commitment to comprehensive care for at-risk children. The non-profit provides group residential care, child care, counseling and related services for children and youth from South Carolina.
