Columbia, SC, July 16, 2018 – David Lockwood has been invited to become a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE), an esteemed industry recognition. The designation is reserved only for prominent real estate practitioners who are invited by current members due to their ethics, experience, expertise, influence and prominence in the industry. It stands as an acknowledgement of the member’s status as one of the most trusted professionals in the field of real estate.
With this invitation, Lockwood has become one of only twelve Counselors of Real Estate designees in South Carolina, with members ranging from attorneys to appraisers to real estate consultants.

Lockwood is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer of Colliers International | South Carolina, serving as the Market Leader and Colliers Manager for the enterprise’s office in Columbia. He has been involved in several commercial real estate organizations, serving as the President of the Central Carolina REALTORS® Association and South Carolina REALTORS® Association, as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the National Association of REALTORS®. He is a past Chairman of the Carolinas Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the national organization.
In the Columbia community, he serves as a Commissioner to the South Carolina Real Estate Commission, representing the 2nd Congressional District. He recently served as the Chair of the Columbia City Center Partnership for the CBD Business Improvement District and currently serves as the Chair of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
