Columbia Art Center, Park Rangers to Hold Paper Lantern Workshop for Winter Solstice Lantern Parade

The Columbia Art Center and the City’s Park Rangers will host a Paper Lantern Workshop in preparation for this year’s Winter Solstice Lantern Parade scheduled for Friday, December 21.

The lanterns are designed to hold a battery operated LED light and use natural materials including willow, bamboo and elaeagnus along with repurposed paper.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 5 from 6-8 p.m. at the Columbia Art Center, 1227 Taylor St., Ste. C, Columbia, SC.

The cost per person is $10 (includes all supplies).

The Winter Solstice Lantern Parade will be held at Riverfront Park, 312 Laurel Street, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on December 21.
