The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with AARP to offer a series of free educational workshops on a variety of topics including frauds and scams, financial literacy and more.
The first workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Busby Street Community Center, 1735 Busby Street. Light refreshments will be served.
The workshop is open to adults age 55 and older, and will focus on the following:
· How to recognize a fraud or scams
· Tips and strategies to avoid being a victim
· How to protect yourself from frauds and scams

Workshops will be held on the last Wednesday of each month through November 2019. The last workshop for the year will be held on Wednesday, December 18.
