Columbia to Show Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” for Back to School Movie

Kick off the new school year with a trip to Wakanda! The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department will host a free showing of Marvel Studios’ blockbuster hit, “Black Panther,” on Saturday, August 18 at Earlewood Park, 1111 Recreation Drive.

The event will feature live entertainment, music and games. Food vendors will be available.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best Wakanda-inspired clothing or Black Panther costume. Prizes will be given to the best dressed participant.

Pre-show activities begin at 7 p.m. The movie will begin at sunset.

Attendees can bring blankets, lawn chairs and coolers. No glass containers and alcoholic beverages allowed.
