Companion Data Services Wins CMS Fee-for-Service Task Order for Third Time

Columbia, S.C. — Companion Data Services, LLC (CDS), which provides health information technology services to both government and commercial entities, has won a new five-year task order from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

This is the third time CDS earned a CMS task order to host and improve efficiency of Medicare Part A and Part B fee-for-service claims processing nationwide. CDS is one of two companies awarded the original task order in 2007 and 2013.

The task order is for the Virtual Data Center and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract vehicle – two key CMS components held by CDS and seven other vendors that support the consolidation of more than 50 individual data centers.

“Being selected for the third time speaks to the confidence that CMS has in the caliber of our work product,” said CDS President Lola Jordan. “Our team enjoys the challenge of exceeding CMS’ expectations in support of Medicare Part A and B claims processing by offering experience, commitment and swift solutions.”

CDS operates one of the largest health information data centers in the world, processing more than a billion claims annually.
