Chris Neeley
COLUMBIA, SC (December 3, 2018) – Copper Dome Strategies is pleased to announce that Chris Neeley will join the firm as a governmental relations consultant. Chris will work in and expand Copper Dome’s presence in local, state, federal and international affairs.
Chris has extensive experience in governmental relations, starting his career on former Governor Carroll Campbell’s staff and thereafter working either with or for several current State and National leaders, including Governor Henry McMaster. More recently and for more than seven years, Chris led all public affairs and governmental relations activities for Walmart Stores, Inc. in the Southeast and Midwest. After that, he was Executive Vice President of Made in USA Works!, a company that conducted business development and international relations with more than 40 foreign trade offices and Ambassadors in Washington, DC.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina and currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Clemson University, Chris is a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Army and currently serves as a Major in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He served a one-year tour of duty in Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
Chris serves as Chair of the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, and he most recently served as Executive Director of the Meyer Center for Special Children, the oldest charter school in South Carolina. He is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina, serves on the Executive Committee for the Blue Ridge Council of Boy Scouts of America and has been elected to the 2019 Board of Directors of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
