Daniel M. Hall Joins GMK’s Accounting Department
COLUMBIA, S.C. – June 13, 2019 – Mr. Daniel M. Hall has recently joined GMK Associates accounting department as a senior accountant. In this role, Mr. Hall performs general accounting, A/P and A/R, and other critical financial reconciliation support duties across all of GMK’s divisions.
Mr. Hall possesses over nine years of accounting, budgeting, general ledger, and auditing experience and is well versed in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), compliance with the stipulations of the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other state and federal accounting regulations. He has specific expertise in cost pool reconciliation, project accounting forecasting and tracking, intercompany accounting, internal/external financial auditing, and various other financial analyses.
“Daniel’s in-depth accounting knowledge and skills, as well as his versatile background in financial analysis for large organizations, make him an especially strong fit for our firm’s accounting needs,” said GMK’s controller Frank Golson.
Prior to joining GMK, Mr. Hall served in a series of accounting positions with increasing leadership responsibilities for one of the nation’s largest providers of high-volume claims and transaction processing, call center operations, and other technical services to the federal government and large commercial customers. Before then, he served as a freight cost auditor for a freight logistics firm located in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Hall holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting degree from Francis Marion University, and offers proficient skills in a wide array of financial software systems such as SemFin FocusPoint, Deltek Costpoint, and Deltek Cognos, among others.
