March 24, 2020 – COLUMBIA, SC. Senior Resources will continue the service of providing any senior citizen in Richland County five free meals for the week, at four locations throughout the county tomorrow. Any senior citizen (60+) or caregiver of a senior citizen in Richland County that did not already pick up their free meals yesterday, are encouraged to drive-thru one of our Emergency Senior Nutrition distribution locations tomorrow morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
**IMPORTANT CHANGE** One location changed since the original distribution of the Emergency Senior Nutrition Meal distribution schedule over the weekend. The Emergency Senior Nutrition Program is in place to help all senior citizens residing in Richland County during the COVID-19 crisis. The program kicked off on Monday, March 23, and we provided 3,250 meals to 650 Richland County senior citizens at our four drive-thru locations throughout the county. Senior Resources will provide the meals, at a first come, first serve basis. This drive thru service will be offered for meal pick-up from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each vehicle will be permitted to pick up two meal packs which will include five meals per pack.
