Fantasia concert a sellout at S.C. State Fair

Tickets remain for other shows

COLUMBIA – Sept. 25, 2018 – Tickets for the Oct. 16 Fantasia concert in The South Carolina State Fair’s 2018 Pepsi Grandstand series have sold out.

The artist is one of eight musical acts scheduled to perform during this year’s fair Oct. 10-21.

“Our Pepsi Grandstand shows remain a highlight of the fair each year, and we are thrilled by the overwhelming early response to this show,” said State Fair manager, Nancy Smith. “And while this show has sold out, there are seven other concerts to be enjoyed.”

This year’s Pepsi Grandstand lineup includes a mix of country, R&B, pop and Christian entertainers and features six paid shows and two free shows. The remaining shows include Tokyo Joe/Rocketman-Elton John Tribute Oct 10 (free with gate admission); Scotty McCreery Oct. 11; Bret Michaels Oct. 12; La Poderosa Banda San Juan Oct. 14 (free with gate admission); Trace Adkins Oct. 15; The Temptations and the Four Tops Oct. 17; and Matthew West & Jeremy Camp Oct. 19.

Grandstand tickets can be purchased at www.scstatefair.org, at the fair’s mobile ticket booth (FRED) or at the fair’s Early Bird ticket window. Tickets also will be on sale during the fair at the Pepsi Grandstand box office, beginning 90 minutes before each show, if still available.

Wristbands for the two free shows will be distributed at the Pepsi-Grandstand box office 90 minutes prior to each concert, while available.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m.

The S.C. State Fair is located at Rosewood Drive and George Rogers Boulevard across from Williams-Brice Stadium. This year will mark the 149th anniversary fair.
