Figure Out 2018, a nude art show celebrating the human body, will open Sept. 6 during First Thursday on Main at Tapp’s.
The exhibition, in its sixth year, features painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, video and drawing. Opening night runs from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., and admission is free.
A ticketed preview event on Sept. 5 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. will include an 8 p.m. performance by the Columbia Dance Company. For tickets, visit FigureOutppsat.org. Proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood.
The event will also include a panel lunch on art and sexuality on Sept. 19 from noon until 1:30 p.m. The panel, which will include artists and educators, is free, with a light lunch provided to attendees who RSVP at the above website.
A closing reception will be Sept. 27 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and is also free.
