Five Points Trick or Treat Offers Halloween Fun

COLUMBIA, SC – October 29, 2021 – The Five Points Association is pleased to announce the return of their annual merchant trick-or-treating along with some new activities to delight children in the Midlands.

“The Association is overjoyed to bring back this beloved tradition that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic last year,” says Katy Renfroe, Association Manager, of the Five Points Association. “We have added some extras in 2021 to give it some new life and make it even more enjoyable for kids.”

Held in Five Points annually each Halloween season, children can come to a safe space to trick-or-treat with our many varied merchants in our historic village. New this year is the “Drain the Blood” Blood Drive with The Blood Connection! The Blood Connection will have their blood mobile stationed at the Five Points Fountain, located at 747 Saluda Avenue, on the Harden Street side, from 2pm-7pm. Donors that wish to sign up for a specific time can do so by visiting

The Five Points Association will also have a booth at the fountain with Jarritos soda samples and Boo Crunch Popcorn from Cromer’s along with a myriad of Halloween-themed games. Games include a spider ring toss, Halloween plinko, ghost cornhole, jack-o-lantern bean bag toss, candy corn bowling, witch pitch, spiderweb splat and a monster bean bag toss. All children that play will win a Halloween-themed prize.

“Halloween is a super fun holiday for children, and we wanted to host activities that would appeal to them,” states Renfroe. “Our intent with the addition of games, prizes and snacks is to bring more kids down to the district. We also hope that it may attract new folks to the area that may not have visited Five Points before.”
