Feb. 3, 2022 (COLUMBIA, S.C.) — Flock and Rally, an integrated communications and marketing agency headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, was honored with four 2021 Palmetto Awards for social media, corporate social responsibility, audio/visual work, and for exceptional marketing, advertising and brand communication. The awards were presented by the International Association of Business Communicators’ South Carolina chapter (IABC/SC).

Flock and Rally was recognized with awards for the following campaigns and creative assets: the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault’s (SCCADVASA) Primary Prevention campaign; The COMET’s Don’t Miss Your Shot campaign; a promotional video for international tech giant NTT Data for its new Nashville offices; and the Engineering Research Visioning Alliance’s (ERVA) launch campaign. South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Primary Prevention Campaign
Award of Excellence in Social Media
SCCADVASA retained Flock and Rally to develop a three-month social media advertising campaign to promote primary prevention of sexual violence with teenagers in South Carolina. Mimicking the look of the viral online game “Among Us,” and incorporating trendy, teen lingo, all ads met or exceeded campaign objectives — in some cases performing more than 1,300% better than the national average.
SCCADVASA is a leader in representing the critical needs of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and is a pivotal voice in violence prevention. The agency advances its work through advocacy, education and collaboration.
The COMET’s Don’t Miss Your Shot Campaign
Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility
The “Don’t Miss Your Shot” campaign, a fully integrated marketing campaign, was designed to educate the public about The COMET’s new free transportation service to COVID-19 vaccine sites. The campaign, developed by Flock and Rally and co-executed by The COMET, included the creation of a new tagline, messaging and brand visuals, the creation of a campaign landing page, an executional advertising and email marketing strategy, the creation of an animated TV commercial, a radio spot, digital ads, billboards, organic and paid social media, printed collateral materials and emails.
The COMET was formed by the City of Columbia, Richland County, Lexington County and City of Forest Acres in 2000 and was given the responsibility for providing local transit service within Richland and Lexington Counties as a regional transportation authority under South Carolina Code of Laws, Chapter 25.
NTT DATA’s Nashville Hype Video
Award of Merit in Audio/Visual
Global tech giant NTT DATA hired Flock and Rally to produce a hype video to demonstrate NTT’s dynamic culture and growing job opportunities and to highlight Nashville, Tennessee, the location of its newest facility. The hype video combined stunning imagery of Nashville as a vibrant city, footage of lifestyle options and experiences that are attractive to young career seekers, interviews with Nashville and NTT DATA key stakeholders, and highlights of the benefits of working for the company.

Engineering Research Visioning Alliance Launch Campaign
Award of Excellence in Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication
In 2021, Flock and Rally worked with the University Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) to launch ERVA, an organization funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to help define future national engineering research directions. Flock and Rally worked with UIDP to develop ERVA’s new brand, messaging, website and assets — and executed a national launch campaign through public relations and social media channels.
ERVA convenes the biggest minds in engineering in the U.S. and helps to identify and develop bold and transformative new engineering research directions, directly supporting the nation’s ability to compete in a rapidly changing global economy.
