COLUMBIA, S.C. – (August 5, 2021) – Vincent Femia has been named President of Fortis College in Columbia, South Carolina. In his role, Femia will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the campus, located at 246 Stoneridge Drive.
Among other duties, Femia will execute directly or by delegation, all executive and administrative duties in connection with the operation of the college including budget, admissions and board representation. He will foster an innovative learning culture within the campus by utilizing state-of-the-art education tools, hands-on training, and a change-oriented approach that prepares Fortis graduates for their chosen professions. He will also be actively involved in recruiting faculty who are passionate about giving graduates the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in existing and emerging career occupations. He is excited to work with the Fortis team to impact students’ lives for the better.
Prior to his new role, Femia held similar leadership positions in Alabama, Louisiana, Florida and South Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J.
Femia resides in Chapin, S.C. with his wife, son and dog. He enjoys traveling and coaching youth basketball.
