The OpExChange grew by four member companies recently, one of them from Aiken, South Carolina. Centerra, Belimed, Champion Aerospace, and Eastern Industrial Suppliers all joined in the last few months.
The OpExChange is a peer-to-peer network of companies in South Carolina dedicated to learning and growing together. Member companies host events and share practical examples of industrial automation, lean manufacturing improvements, and leadership development. It is an invaluable resource to South Carolina companies that provide access to others who are on similar improvement journeys.
Centerra is 100 percent United States owned and is one of the largest U.S. Government providers of Security, Nuclear Security, Fire and Emergency Services, Base Operations Support (BOS), Facilities, Fleet, Construction and Training services. Service offerings continue to expand through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Protecting Critical Priorities… that is Centerra’s mission. This particular group operates at the Savannah River Nuclear Site in Aiken, South Carolina.
Belimed Inc. was founded as a joint venture between Belinox, a company with a long history in craftsmanship, precision engineering and stainless steel products, and Gehrig AG, a manufacturer of high-quality dishwashers for restaurants and hotels. Belimed's product portfolio includes a reliable and robust collection of washer-disinfectors, sterilizers and sterile processing equipment, as well as competent service and support to support all product solutions. Their United States headquarters operate out of North Charleston, SC.
Champion Aerospace is a manufacturer of aerospace ignition and power systems. Champion Aerospace is truly a “Made in the U.S.A.” company located in Liberty, South Carolina. Advanced computerized systems enable their operations staff to exercise meticulous control over each phase throughout the entire manufacturing process, including the in-house production of ceramic insulators and the assembly of leads, igniters, exciters, spark plugs, magnetos, and power supplies.
Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. is a full-line distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, and commercial plumbing products. Their facility located in Easley, SC is one of sixteen branch locations serving the Southeast U.S. region.
