COLUMBIA, SC – Four lawyers from Burnette Shutt & McDaniel are honored in the latest edition of “Legal Elite of the Midlands,” including all three of the firm’s founders.
M. Malissa Burnette and Nekki Shutt are included in labor and employment law, while Kathleen McDaniel is honored in environmental law. Jacqueline Pavlicek is listed in Family Law.
Burnette, Shutt and McDaniel were first included in the 2011 edition of “Legal Elite.” Pavlicek is included for the first time this year.
“Legal Elite of the Midlands” is a yearly publication of “Columbia Business Monthly.” Honorees are highlighted in the August edition. They’re also recognized at an October reception.
The process begins with nominations from more than 1,000 licensed attorneys in the Midlands. The nominees are then put to a vote of all active attorneys in the Midlands. The goal is to create a list of the top attorneys in each of 20 practice areas.
