COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Picture Media Group of Columbia, SC announces the first annual Freedom Festival International Film Festival. Freedom Festival International is a four-day film and arts festival that will be held August 22nd through 25th, 2019 at Tapp’s Arts Center in downtown Columbia.
What makes us unique is that we not only highlight underrepresented groups such as veterans and woman in film, but we also promote equality! With live screenings, social networking events, workshops, and live entertainment, you don't want to miss this festival. In conjunction with Purple Heart Day and Women’s Equality Day, we will also be honoring a military veteran and a woman who have devoted a lifetime of service to their country and community.
There will be a Q&A panel discussion with industry professionals and one-of-a-kind workshops such as Fight/Stunt Choreography, Musical Composition/Scoring, Writing, and SFX workshops. Also, there will be original art exhibitions, an opening torch lighting ceremony, and our coveted Torch Awards! The vision of this festival is a glimpse into showcasing talent in the arts as well as being a representative and vessel for economic growth in the community by way of film and inclusion.
