Stacey Bevill, Owner and President of Golden Career Strategies, recently earned the prestigious Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF). ICF offers the only independent and internationally recognized coach credentialing program. Golden Career Strategies has an established presence in the Upstate and Midlands.
Bevill has completed over 450 hours of coach training since she started her coaching journey in 2016. She advocates for coach credentialing/certification because she values the required commitment to standards of excellence, understanding of differences between coaching and consulting, and the commitment to both ethics and ongoing learning. A 2022 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study, commissioned in 2021 by the International Coach Federation and undertaken by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP indicated that in the US, 77 percent of those who had participated in a coaching relationship and 76 percent of those who had not participated in a coaching relationship believe that coaching certifications/credentials were important/very important.
“Coaching provides a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires maximization of personal and professional potential. Organizations that provide coaching for their team leaders and employees enjoy benefits such as increased employee engagement, improved communication skills, teamwork and decision-making as well as increased productivity, and employee retention,” said Bevill. “Our goal is to provide services that increase companies' bottom line and create an environment that promotes innovation, cooperation, communication, and quality by motivating and inspiring their employees.”
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals. PCC credentialing requires successfully completing an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP), a performance evaluation, Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) and 500 hours of coaching experience.
