IRMO, S.C. – On Friday, February 23, 2018, the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce honored nine outstanding Chamber members at the 2018 Annual Gala and Awards Presentation, presented by Crescent Construction, at the Columbia Conference Center. Honorees included the 2018 Ambassador of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, Order of the Okra, Education Award, Non-Profit of the Year, Community Service Award, New Business of the Year and Small and Large Businesses of the Year.
“The Annual Gala is always a fun evening of fellowship and recognition of service to the Irmo Community. It allows the Chamber to say thank you to those who go above and beyond,” says Kerry Powers, Greater Irmo Chamber President and CEO.
This year, the Greater Irmo Chamber is privileged to present the prestigious Ambassador of the Year award to Randy Roe, owner of Duraclean. Randy has been a member of the Irmo Chamber since it was the Irmo Business Association. He has exhibited charitable giving to those in need in the Irmo Community and he was instrumental in helping the Chamber secure it’s current, beautiful facility.
The Ambassador of the Year award is given to an individual in the community who has contributed to the growth of the community and the Greater Irmo Chamber through action and/or service. Past Ambassador of the Year winners include Congressman Joe Wilson and Rep. Chip Huggins.
“Randy’s contributions to the Irmo Chamber have helped pave the way for a successful future for the Chamber,” says 2017-2018 Irmo Chamber Chairman, Jeremiah Davis.
