The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) Foundation is pleased to welcome Madison Vander Well, its new development coordinator.
In her new position, Vander Well will be responsible for writing and managing grants. Grants received by the GSSM Foundation support GSSM students and programs, including summer camps for middle school students across South Carolina.
“We’re excited to welcome Madison,” said Beth Dinndorf, GSSM Foundation executive director. “She joins a talented team of professionals committed to the advancement of the Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics, and she brings a wealth of skills that will help share the story of the exceptional students and programs of the Governor’s School.”
Vander Well received a Bachelor of Arts in communications and economics from the University of Colorado. Prior to joining GSSM, she served as the account training coordinator for Laura Geller NY, managing its retail accounts in South Carolina and Charlotte, NC. In that position, Vander Well led her territory to become the second most productive in the U.S., exceeding year-end goals by seven percent in a declining retail landscape.
“What drew me to the GSSM Foundation is the positive and uplifting environment of the Foundation office and those in it, as well as the ability to assist in advancing the high-quality educational opportunities GSSM provides in South Carolina,” Vander Well said.
