Hotel Trundle Launches Toilet Paper Tuesdays to Offer Assistance During Pandemic Shortages

COLUMBIA, S.C. (May 29, 2020) – Hotel Trundle is launching Toilet Paper Tuesdays and partnering with other local Columbia, South Carolina businesses in the month of June to offer some relief over toilet paper shortages.

While the state of South Carolina begins to slowly open, the repercussions of the pandemic are still affecting locals. During the crisis, there have been shortages of toilet paper and other paper products all over the country. Hotel Trundle has decided to spread some cheer and give out one case of toilet paper to community members every Tuesday in the month of June from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last.

"We still see the toilet tissue isles bare in the grocery stores, and we are able to help out a little by providing the community a free role or two," Rita Patel, Owner of Hotel Trundle, said. "It can offer a little normalcy in a world where nothing is normal right now."

The Hotel Trundle team members are going to give out a case–about 80 rolls of toilet paper–to the first 80 people that drive up. Hotel Trundle also wants to include items from local businesses on Main Street and other areas in Columbia. Along with handing you a roll of toilet paper, the Trundle team may give you a sticker or coupons that are from a neighboring, small business.

“Sometimes it's just the little things that make the biggest differences," Marcus Munse, Owner of Hotel Trundle, said. "As we slowly open back up, we want to include as many small businesses as possible, because we need each other now more than ever.”

About Hotel Trundle: Husband and wife team owners, Marcus and Rita, dreamed of owning an independent, boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Columbia with the freedom to craft a guest experience like no other. They believe that the Unicorn is a fabulous beast conceived not out of human fear but as a beautiful creation of humankind’s creative, joyful, and ever-powerful imagination.
