COLUMBIA South Carolina, April 9, 2019 - The Humane Society of South Carolina is thrilled to announce their 10th annual See Spot Run 5k fundraiser. Located at Earlwood Park, the race is set to take place on Saturday, May 4th. Kicking things off early, runners and their pets should be prepared to begin the 5K at 8 A.M. In attendance will be a trained team of veterinarians and technicians ready to ensure the health and safety of all the animals involved. All proceeds from the event benefit the HSPCA and help to support their low cost spay/neuter clinic and animal cruelty prevention and education programs.
“With this being the 10th anniversary, not only are we here to raise funds, but are also celebrating a decade of change for the Humane Society and all the animals whose lives we’ve touched.” said HSPCA executive director Dawn Wilkinson. “Not only are participants giving back to the community, they’re doing it in a healthy, fun way.”
The race takes runners through a USATF certified course. The fun doesn’t end there, with live music and B106.7 there to host, this event will be a thrill for runners and supporters alike. Refreshments will be available to all runners/walkers.
