Hussey Gay Bell Announces Two Promotions Within Its South Carolina Surveying Department

Charleston & Columbia, SC – Hussey Gay Bell announces the promotions of Joddie R. Porth, PLS to South Carolina Director of Surveying and Patrick Hajes, PLS to Survey Manager for Charleston. Principal Surveyor, Mr. Porth has been with the firm for over 20 years. He oversees surveying projects, notably in the Midlands, in which he has been responsible for the surveying for various municipal, state, federal and private projects ranging from city-wide utility mapping, stormwater tunnel replacement projects, route surveys for proposed interstates and highways, and numerous sanitary sewer, water and storm drainage projects. Located in Columbia, he will be responsible for the management and quality assurance of all South Carolina surveying projects. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina.

Mr. Hajes has over 17 years of surveying experience and has been with the firm for 4 years. During this time, he has been responsible for the surveying of various boundary, topographic, route and ALTA surveys, as well as numerous large construction staking projects. In addition to overseeing the daily activities of the Charleston survey crews and CAD staff, he will lead and manage the execution of all survey activities, planning, scheduling and the procurement of work for the Charleston office. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina.
