Columbia, SC (April 2019) Immedion LLC, a premiere provider of cloud, data center, and managed IT services, is pleased to announce the promotions of Erik Cheung and Mike Smith to their Site Operations team.
Cheung of Immedion’s Columbia location and Smith of Immedion’s Cincinnati office have been promoted to Site Operations Engineer. In their new roles, both will be responsible for provisioning and managing the technical delivery of Immedion’s colocation and managed services offerings to customers at their respective sites.
Erik joined the company in 2017 as a Support Technician on the Network Operations Center (NOC) team. During his tenure with Immedion, Erik developed several skillsets including those in software development, networking and hardware which ultimately led to his promotion. Erik has the ZCP Basic Certification and holds a bachelor’s degree from ECPI University.
Mike joined Immedion in 2018 and has also served as a Support Technician. He has five years of IT industry experience and possesses HDI Service Desk Analyst and Manager Certifications. Prior to Immedion, Smith served several roles at Pomeroy, most recently as Service Desk Engineer where he focused on training and service queue management.
